Teenagers charged after huge fire at scene of £1m cannabis bust

The boys who are all aged 13 have been reported to the Children’s Reporter.

On Tuesday, August 16, at around 7:25 p.m., emergency services received a call about a fire at the former WHSmith building on High Street in Kirkcaldy.

Locals have identified the structure as the location of a £1 million cannabis raid earlier this year.

Firefighters battled the blaze for nine hours before putting it out without any injuries being recorded.

Three male teens, all 13 years old, were charged in connection with the incident, the police said on Thursday.

The Children’s Reporter has received a report.
