THE body of a man has been found in Glasgow city centre.
Emergency services raced to the lane leading to Sloan’s pub, off Argyll Street, around 5.40am this morning.
Cops and ambulance services were called shortly after the tragic discovery was made.
A 51-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers blocked off the area today to carry out their probe into the death.
The lane connects Argyll Street with Buchanan Street, one of the busiest shopping areas of Glasgow.
The death is not believed to be suspicious however cops have launched a probe.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.40am on Saturday, 11 June, police were called to premises at the Argyll Arcade.
“Police and Ambulance attended and a 51-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Police enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the death, however there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
“A report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal.”
